Yamba Chamber of Commerce

Our Home and Lifestyle Expo, will be held in September 2008 at the Yamba Bowling Club. Attracting exhibitors from all over the Valley and hundreds of visitors every year this will continue to be a major project in the Chamber calendar. This is the perfect opportunity for home based businesses or those that do not have a shop front to show case their products and services to the valley. Check out the events page for further information.

In conjunction with Yamba Rotary the Chamber hosts a Network ‘n Yamba evening. Held quarterly and at different venues this is a largely successful networking evening. Again another opportunity for those businesses that are new to town, work from home or who do not have a shop front presence to network with other businesses, the general public and Rotarians in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

A dynamic energetic Executive Committee working hard to achieve the best for the Yamba Business and its Community. The Chamber is representative on many community and council committees, such as Lower Clarence Liquor Accord, Street Cruise, Neighbourhood Watch, Yamba Rotary Club, Yamba Sewerage Augmentation Project and the Clarence River Tourism Board..

Our meetings are held on the first Monday of every month (except for public holidays) at the Ecopoint Angourie Resort at 6pm. We endeavor to invite Guest Speakers at most meetings, giving to opportunity of members to hear first hand the developments, plans, events, projects that are occurring in and around the Yamba District.

We look forward to welcoming you.

With Over 140 members and still growing, the Chamber represents a large cross section of local business.

The Chamber is dedicated to working in the best interests of it’s members, fostering and maintaining strong alliances with community groups, Clarence Valley Council and the other Chamber’s of Commerce and Progress Associations within the Clarence Valley. The Chamber of Commerce plays a leading role in the continuing positive development of Yamba and the surrounding region.

In 2000 the Yamba Chamber of commerce were named winners in to categories be the NSW state Chamber for Commerce: Best Chamber in State Under 100 Members and Best Business Initiative by a Chamber of Commerce.

Yamba being largely dependant on tourism, the Chamber focuses many of its efforts on attracting more tourists to this area all year round.

This is evident on our major sponsorship with Surfing The Coldstream Festival for the past two years. This festival is generally held in October during the non-Holiday period and attracts visitors from all over NSW. It is one of the largest Free Festivals in NSW – www.surfingthecoldstream.com.au for more information.

A few years ago the Chamber sponsored a successful Seafood Expo for four years. This has also bought thousands of visitors to Yamba in search of the perfect seafood feast and there isn’t a better place to do it. The Seafood Expo was a Finalist in the Significant Festivals and Events Category of the Tourism Australia NSW Awards for Excellence. It goes without saying that none of these honors and successes would have been possible without the tremendous help and support of the whole town.
