Welcome to the Yamba District Chamber of Commerce Inc

It’s brilliant to be involved in an organisation that has a history of active, vibrant people being in the hotseat! The bar has been set high but I’ll do the best I can. With the support of a great group of people, I think this will be a very good year for the Chamber.

We’ve launched the financial year with an advertising campaign.
Designed to get behind our very own Yamba Surf Lifesaving Club’s 100th anniversary celebrations, it highlights Yamba as a safe place to come for a beach holiday.
FACT: In 100 years of a patrolled Yamba Main Beach there has not been a fatality. What a startling achievement!
Our TV commercial is airing on Southern Cross 10 from July – October 2008, across Coffs Harbour, Tamworth and Lismore windows. Backed by sponsors corporate sponsor Westlawn it features images, both current and historical of our club and our beaches. Background music is ‘Beautiful World’, by Colin Hay (ex-Men At Work lead singer) from his ‘Going Somewhere’ album. A HUGE thank you goes out to Yamba Surf Lifesaving Club, Adam Hourigan, Debrah Novak, Melissa Lutton, and Yamba Historical Society for giving freely their photographic contributions.

The Chamber is proud to be a major sponsor of the Surfing the Coldstream festival. This spectacular arts festival will again awaken the senses as it brings our community together this October 24, 25, 26.

Involvement from members on these and other committees is encouraged.

Minutes from General Meetings and Committee Reports are available online.

The Chamber’s aim is to maximize the opportunities for success for our members. We can achieve this through: - exploiting our tourist potential, - implementing campaigns to encourage local retail spending, - encouraging highest standards in service and delivery within our business practices, - providing opportunities for promotion, training and networking, - supporting our businesses with representation and lobbying.

By working together, Chamber members are able to achieve collectively what cannot be achieved individually. Our breakfast meetings are held on the first Monday of every month (except for public holidays) at the Angourie Rainforest Resort at 7am. All welcome!

We look forward to welcoming you.
